I just received my new C-30 , Im not sure how old it is but its Super Clean! The only concern I had was it had KT77's in it? I was like Oh no! I immediatey Contacted Bill He replied almost Instantly and said it was ok, I put 6L6's in just to try it out WOW! Cant wait for the 66's. My question is?..... Can almost any tube be used in this amp? Bill told me to get the Plate Volts to 400 and im set, WOW! thats Low, should get the tubes Cooking, Im use to seeing the Plate volts alot higher in my Other amps, Guess thats what makes these badboys Sing. I was under the impression that this amp was a Cathode Biased amp, thats what I thought I heard in an advertisement from destroyallguitars? Im glad it has the bias pot I guess Its OK to use different Valves? Any responses are greatly appreciated. New REEVES Owner, Jamie
