| So the question is can I put a 12at7 in the first preamp slot or the extra gain stage slot of my Custom Lead High Gain. If I do the substitution will I need to think about rebiasing. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. |

hey onion
you dont need to rebias any sort of preamp, its the output stage and not the distribution stage.
the at7 is a really clean, low gain tube and it would probably clean the tone up a lot. and since it is low gain, it wont break up and will last longer.
hope i was able to help. |
